Imagine a place, in the middle of nowhere. Mountains toped with snow, and sweeping views in every direction. As you climb steadily up, all of the worries of the world seem to slip from your mind, and thankfully the mosquitoes have followed suit, and are left in the shelter of the alders. The air is clear, the sky partly cloudy with plenty of blue showing through. A slight breeze bring smells of the tundra and pure summer bliss. Wild blueberries are plentiful, leaving a stain on your hands and lips from frequent indulgences. This is hiking. Hiking in Alaska. It’s in these mountains that Dall sheep can be seen grazing upon the grassy slopes. Black Bears appear with the berries, and chase ground squirrels. Alaska, untainted and waiting to be seen.
